Wix has emerged as the ultimate all-under-one-roof web solution and it's in-the-box functionality and seamless integrations are truly second-to-none.
Wix is my absolute favourite resource on the web right now. If you're a new business or an exiting business looking to create a new digital presence, this is where you should start.
They have a free plan that is quite robust, but let's face it, you're going to need to pay for something at some point and this is the best value in digital marketing. Period. Exclamation mark! End of story.
I personally prefer their Core Premium Plan. For $27/month and you get:
A Website - You get a brand spanking new website. Just sign up, choose from their gorgeous pre-built templates, substitute in your content, and your website is ready to go. You can realistically expect to build your site in a day. It's crazy how simple this is to do.
Free Domain - This is the URL address for your website ie. www.karllovescats.com. Wix provides this to your for free for the first year to get you started and they will provide auto-renewal for you so you don't have to think about or set a reminder of any kind.
SSL & Hosting - Have you ever noticed the "https" instead of "http" in the sites you visit. Well that's the SSL Certificate, which Wix includes for free. They also host your website at no additional charge as part of your plan and have one of the most secure shared-hosting infrastructures on the planet. With hacking becoming more and more prominent, even for smaller sites, you're going to want this peace-of-mind.
Personalized Email Address - Have you always been jealous of people that had fancy email addresses with their business name built in? Well, Wix also allows you to easily do this through Google at a really low price that is a quarter of the cost of an Office365 account through GoDaddy. If you already have one of these, you can migrate it over fairly easily so you can have it all under one roof with Wix instead.
Accept Payments & Event Reservations - For businesses that are appointment based or host events periodically, this is where websites can get a bit tricky and other conventional platforms fall short. You can collect payments through your site or in person and it all integrates seamlessly with your Google calendar.
Ecommerce Solution - Ecommerce solution that outperforms WooCommerce and even rivals Shopify for 1/3 of the price. Even if you don't need it, it's nice to have it available to you if/when you do.
YouTube Tutorials & Support - If you ever hit a snag using Wix, you can just do a search on YouTube and I guarantee there's a video that guides you through it. This is a massive benefit of going with such a broadly used platform. You can also reach out to their Support team anytime and they are always happy to help in a timely manner.
Integrated SEO Solutions - You've all probably heard this term "SEO". And you may have heard that Wix is bad at it. Well, it definitely used to be, but in the last few years it has bridged the gap with other solutions out there and is now at a level playing field. And easier to use than any other solution out there, so you can optimize your site without knowing anything about SEO. Or you could hop on a call with me and I can help you with that 😉
Google and Other Great Integrations - Wix has emerged as the ultimate all-under-one-roof web solution and it's in-the-box functionality and seamless integrations are truly second-to-none. Geez, that was a lot of hyphenated words for one sentence, but I think you get the drift. One cool bonus is that they typically offer you a $500 credit with Google Ads when you integrate through Wix and spend $500 in a 6-month window. This is money in your pocket and if you don't know how to use it, set up a call with me and I'll point you in the right direction.
These are just the things I could think of off the top of my head and honestly, I'm fairly new to Wix, because it never used to be as good as it is now. I'm currently in the process of migrating all my own Ecommerce businesses and Blogs over to Wix and you should to. You won't regret it.
